What is raw feeding?
Raw feeding is designed to replicate a dog’s natural diet. It simply means that you feed your dog raw fresh food (meat, bones, fruit & veg), the way nature intended it. This is commonly referred to as a BARF diet, which is an acronym that stands for Biologically Appropriate Raw Food.
A raw dog food diet is very similar to the original, natural diet of wolves, which mainly consisted of raw meaty bones, offal and the contents of their prey’s stomach (which could include seasonal vegetables, fruits and even grains). The logic behind raw feeding is that dogs, being the descendants of wolves, thrive off the same foods because that’s what their systems have evolved to operate on.
